I am a qualified therapist with wide-ranging experience in the area of psychological health. I provide CBT and Hypnotherapy to individuals, couples and groups.
I began my career in medicine working at multi-national pharmaceutical companies in Japan and America and Medical Editing enabling the publication of research papers in medical journals.
My training, over 18 years, includes Psychodynamic study at The Esalen Institute in California, Rational Emotive Therapy at Birmingham University with Windy Dryden, CBT research in London and Cognitive-Hypnotherapy.
As well as my private practice, I have worked in a number of therapy settings including Drug Rehabilitation and Victims of Crime support and the Princes Royal Trust for Carers - a charity that helps Carers look after family members in need.
My Approach
I understand that I may be the first person you are opening up to about your problems. I appreciate how difficult this can be, and the courage it takes to make this first step.
You will receive a safe, confidential space in which you can talk without being judged. Seeing the world from your viewpoint and understanding your goals helps me understand your needs; and create therapy most suited to your personal development.
You will overcome problems that have been causing you pain or holding you back. We will understand their cause and effects on your life. I believe that every person has a right to a happy and fulfilling life and am passionate about helping my clients achieve this.
